Bethlehem's Album

Pastor and Mrs. Loeschman constructed a wire art scene of Bethlehem.            The Children's Program on Christmas Eve always tells the story of
                                                                                                                                       Christmas in the traditional tableau style.

Our wonderful kickoff for the Christmas season starts with carolling for our shut-ins and folks at the Madisonville Nursing Home.  We continue the happy evening with a Chili Supper where everyone brings a pot of chili and puts it together in one big roaster.

Larry Adcock, Head Honcho, checks the 500 pounds of Brisket.  Bruce Theiss and Craig Murphy "stack 'em on the fire."  The proceeds from this and another Brisket BBQ went to the Rosa Espinosa Transplant Fund.  Rosa needed a liver transplant. Sadly, Rosa was called home before a transplant could be done.  Her family is doing well.

Pastor Paul and Mrs. Cheryl Harris and family visited Bethlehem for a couple weeks this summer. Pastor Harris preached on July 9, 1999 after presenting a paper at the Texas Confessional Lutherans Free Conference in Brenham the day before. It was a joy to have them with us.
